Squidoo Tip #50: Link to Authority Sites

God Speed, c.1900Depending on what you’re writing about, adding links to authority sites adds credence to your lens. This is especially good if you’re writing about health topics, or if you’re covering something that was recently reported in the news.

There are a lot of articles and websites that just say stuff without citing their sources or giving concrete examples. Doing the opposite will make you look like that much more of an authority. That’s part of why Wikipedia does so well. You’ll usually find at least a handful of supporting links at the bottom of each Wikipedia entry.

Thank you, once again, for a great suggestion. I have just added a number of links to my lens, Are You Puzzled by Jigsaw Puzzles?. This lens is currently in the number 2 spot in Squidbids and, since I still consider myself a new Squidooer, I am proud of that accomplishment!

That’s pretty cool! It’s fun to be rated high in a given category.
